I don't know what more futile:

Recommended Posts

Rooting for the Washington Football Team or rooting against Penn State. Every year excitement builds during the preseason and then months of reality crushes your hopes and dreams. By the end, there is only despair.

Washington Football Team sure does sound better than Washington Commanders.

Was hoping they would leave it WFT - or maybe at least Washington Murder Hornets - That would sell merchandise like crazy.

The "Conmanders" sounds like the ... ehhh ... "Personal Touch Massager"

Admitting you root against Penn State more than for your team is the first step to better sports psychological health.

In a competition, doesn't rooting for your team involve rooting against the other team?

You of all people should not be lecturing on "sports psychological health."

First off, I wasn't "lecturing". Second,  what I said was stated in a very friendly manner. You, on the other hand basically are lecturing and doing so in not only a personal way but also in an obviously bitter tone towards a perfect stranger who you know nothing at all about.

Maybe some reflection is in order here?

True, that was a little harsh.  My bad on that one.

Charlie, just so you know, a lot of times I write in a very dry sense of humor way. The post in question might not have been elegant but it was a take off of the 12 step process that I was going for.

"Hi. My name is Jack and I have a problem rooting against Penn State and it is just so futile"

"Hi Jack"

It was meant to be silly, not lecturing.
