NJDan 435 Report post Posted June 21, 2013 In football, they give seven points for a score, or at least three. You see a game that ends 21-14, rather than 3-2, it seems like there was a lot of scoring. Two point takedowns are good. But why not five points (with two for a pushout). A tech fall at 20 points. When a guy is losing 20-0 or 35-15, it seems like he was dominated. When the score is 7-0, it seems fairly close. Plus, you'd see some 40-37 barn-burners! Jaroslav Hasek 1,751 Report post Posted June 21, 2013 why not just multiply every point total by 10? then it would be easy to remember how many points the moves are worth but those final scores would be huge! better yet, multiply ever point by 1000! then wrestling would be the highest scoring sport in the olympics! sockobuw 49 Report post Posted June 21, 2013 the problem is they want to see an increase in action, not scoring. sometimes scoring doesnt tell the whole story. most times scoring does correlate with action and action means more fans being interested.
