krazzy 17 Report post Posted April 5 It's like sumo. Yawn....No action, just bulldozers at 3 mph head to head -moving inch by inch. Freestyle snobs don't know.
nom 1,193 Report post Posted April 5 You are using a final desperation attempt to help prove that Greco is not boring. I think you are instead solidifying the case that it is. 1 Yellow_Medal reacted to this

Oh because that was so boring. Look- I don't care about what you think, I just want wrestling to be more popular globally. Remember when wrestling was almost NOT an olympic sport? Grow up and embrace the fact that Greco is a massive part of wrestling perhaps not here in the US but in all other serious wrestling powerhouse nations. Plasmodium 2,255 Report post Posted April 7 That was kinda cool, but from a wrestling perspective it is a nothing burger. From a Greco perspective, wasn't that a leg foul? :)
GranbyTroll 452 Report post Posted April 7 Is the 0:03 clip worth 5:57 of standing around mixed with some forced par terre? Not in my estimation.
krazzy 17 Report post Posted April 8 Look , don't watch, don't do Greco if you hate it so much. No wonder we fail at greco, we just want flashy, monkey dancing. Greco is where real men wrestle. Takes balls and strength to do greco. I did FS, I love it, I had no choice, no greco at college. I respect FS. I wonder where this vehement ,deeply ingrained -very curious odium towards greco stems from I think it's from the lightweight freestyle crowd
Bozak2018 94 Report post Posted April 8 There isn't enough exposure to it and as a whole, the US sucks at it. Freestyle is more similar to folkstyle, so that helps with freestyle popularity. Greco is almost like trying to learn a foreign language.
scribe 1,835 Report post Posted April 8 What did I just see? Someone try a last second Hail Mary and got deflected to the side?

ppitts71 39 Report post Posted April 10 So wait… we’re using a 3 second clip… of a non Greco move, to prove that Greco is entertaining? Did that move even score points? Greco is fun when one guy is completely outclassed and can get tossed around, but when it’s two world level guys it isn’t worth it. “oooh! Look how he side stepped, turned his hip, and fought pressure to avoid getting out of position and maybe giving up a point! Sure would love to see that hand fighting that results in zero points! Beautiful!” 1 Yellow_Medal reacted to this
