Gantry 1,604 Report post Posted June 21, 2013 Can someone explain to me how that match ended? It was 7-6 Simmons with 15 seconds left, buffered per usual, then Kennedy was up 11-7 and they said he won. But there was a period left.

PAFAN01 46 Report post Posted June 21, 2013 Second 3 pointer in the match and he was ahead on the score. With the way the scoring was going it was possible for Simmons to come back but the two 3 point moves got him.
Gantry 1,604 Report post Posted June 21, 2013 Well then officially put me in that "what a stupid rule" camp then. It was a great match and deserved to keep going. Nobody was in control of that match...
wiedsworld 14 Report post Posted June 21, 2013 I still don't know how Kennedy got 3 off the first one? Simmons stopped him and initiated the move, if anything it should have been 3 Simmons, 2 Kennedy.
quanon 161 Report post Posted June 21, 2013 The two threes have to come in the same period, I think. Kennedy looks very good. He's improved a lot.

That's what I saw too -- although I thought it should have been 3-0 Simmons. His coaches should have protested the first score.

Two threes in the match and have to be ahead in the score. You've got to read through all of the rules. One rule says in the match, the other says in the period. So I think they have to come in the same period.
