Askren had two undefeated seasons at 174: 42-0 and 45-0. But many say he was more dominant in his junior year when he went 42-0.

I'm aware. He's not alone. Choose one...

I almost put Dake at one weight too but figured if JB beats him at one, why not the other?

I also considered Yianni over Stieber, but figured Yianni was only 141 as a freshman/sophomore, so not sure if sophomore Yianni could beat senior Stieber.

This is fun

125 Abas
133 Stieber
141 Lee - still trying to figure out if this is recency bias on my part
149 Zain - he had 3 straight undefeated seasons at this weight
157 Dake
165 Burroughs
174 Ruth - Starocci working himself into the conversation
184 Cael
197 Cael - if we're counting him at both weights, I'm picking the greatest college wrestler of all time
285 Gable

All the 184s in his era were solid fundamental grind style guys. He never faced a top flight funk guy

Nate Patrick could roll with him (watch the Midlands match if you can find it) couldn't catch him.  Nate was better than most recognized due to end of season injuries that kept him from achieving what he was capable of.
