ppitts71 42 Report post Posted June 8 Curious about about first match strategies. Seems like Zahid has a lot of things going for him and the one disadvantage is his conditioning. Probably won’t win two hard fought back to back matches and probably won’t win back to back close tactical matches. So why not go balls out in the first match? Attack hard and really take advantage of your fresh offense. Then you have 5 hours to recovery win or lose. Now you have a better idea of how to attack in the last two matches and at least have energy for one match. 1 Alwayswrestling reacted to this
swoopdown 631 Report post Posted June 8 The first match Yianni lacked a pair and grew some for the second. It's seasonal and he's deciduous.
Alwayswrestling 227 Report post Posted June 8 I wish they would give more back ground bio information on the wrestlers.

If he dives in on the legs of the best counter-offense 86kg wrestler in the world without a great set up, he’s giving up 2, 90% of the time. He’s going to lose nearly all of those scrambles. His only real shot is to blow through Taylor and try to tech him in the first minute. He was very lucky there was a lengthy stoppage in the second period.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

DocBZ 198 Report post Posted June 8 (edited) Gwiz losing to Dhesi at Pan-am's could have been a sign that his trajectory is on the decline...he was a guy that he normally beats easily. Edited June 8 by DocBZ

The Genius 411 Report post Posted June 8 I didn't see the match, but how did DT look? Sounds like a typical slow start then his conditioning coming clutch with TDs in the second period. Do US fans still back him to beat Yazdani in Serbia?
Uwwdoc 125 Report post Posted June 8 Hope we get at least one of the matches for Dake or Taylor go to a 3rd just for excitement sake. Also for the prediction sake of @Housebuye too. 1 Housebuye reacted to this

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Sounds like not enough to go on to make any inferences about his chances in Serbia. I did read that his pace seemed noticeably slower, though. He'll be 33-34 in Paris, not many guys at that weight win Olympic Gold at that age.
