Agree...we need some of the recently graduated/soon to graduate 125 lbers to step it up and take over the role and separate themselves. But who?

i'm not even sure Simmons can help a lot. He seemed to be particularly streaky against world competition.

 

84k is a little long in the tooth for us too.

Obe looked great at the trials, do not think Escobedo scored a point on him. He has improved a lot, lets see if he can get to the next level at worlds, he has already taken it up another level since college. One time AA beating a 4x AA, ncaa champ easily.

I think some of you are underestimating obe. He was darn close to medalling at his last world appearance, and he has improved a lot since then. The "quickness style" that he has seems to be what does the best internationally.

 

Objectively, I think 84kg is probably our weakest weight. I really hope Gavin proves me wrong though. I think it is awesome to see the success he has had given that he was a relative unknown coming out of high school. Plus he is a pa boy :D
