Khubezhty really did seem to not have 2-3 counter exposures not go his way., very close. Man is India getting good fast, that guy seemed a bit small. Him and JB both great on their feet, should be a doozy. I think the Indian's aggressiveness may get him in trouble against JB but we'll see.

Indian veteran, mid-level guy the past few years splitting between 74 nd 84. Gentry beat him the past couple of years. Im a bit worried over the next match because Burroughs did not look great in his first one.

JB looked a little sloppy , but he was moving well on the go behinds. He'll be fine.

So was this a case of jitters for Khubezhty? I didn't have a chance to watch the match. No disrespect to Yadav. He is tough, beat MacDonald from CAN who is no slouch at the Commonwealth GAmes.

Khubezhty has to be among the most hot and cold wrestlers out there. He demolished Tsargush and pretty much everyone at Russian Nationals, but unlike Goygereev down at 60kg, reverted back to his previous (very good but not elite) performances for this tournament.

is there a story behind tsargush at russian nationals? im not saying there has to be anything, but didn't he wreck everyone at the university games? i'm guessing he'll try again next year?

Yadav is awkward one of my training partners beat him years back, bad match for khubezhty i felt he should've had a 3 off that double as well, bet the russians are seriously regretting shunning geduev who is there best at 74 currently imo.

not sure but he looked out of shape. Kept getting countered by Khubetzys chest lock, I'm not sure if he was tired or just frustrated but he didn't wrestle well at all.

 

Russia should have sent Geduev, who beat Khubetzy at the Yarygin, and recently in practice, but was injured for the nationals. Overall though Russia seems to have success sending the national champ, Goygeerev and Boltukaev were surprise winners at Nationals and they did well.
