With Cornell winning in 1947 then Iowa State Teachers College winning, Iowa was dominate. OU under Port Robertson and Oklahoma A & M under Art Griffith quickly restored Oklahoma's dominance, it wasn't until the mid 1960s when Iowa State under Harold Nichols began to become equal to the Oklahoma schools.

This was a great story i knew many but not all the details about Cornell's dream team.

I also liked the Robes. In Washington High School wrestling there are several teams who would come out with "The Robes". I stil like them.
