Will Hofstra ever have another NCAA Champ

Recommended Posts

I think - therefore I feel that this Program - can not PRODUCE a finalist. While they had a nice run when Tom Ryan was here, Strause, Weidman . Lately, their recruits have not been overachievers. Some high profile kids out of High School who basically had to find AA status as fifth/sixth yr seniors. Seems Cornell gets NYSs best and/or most recruits go elsewhere.

Binghamton/ and the future Stony Brook program seem to have my interest. LIU-Post- DII will definitely find success.

Again, Griffin -that was a Ryan recruit. One of the BEST recruits on paper Hofstra has ever had. Lost a one pt decision to Coleman Scott back in High School. Isnt it funny that Hofstra has had MANY Top notch kids from PA/ NJ/ NY yet, cant find their way to the NCAA Finals. S'up wit dat ??? I tend to believe that they are burnt by NCAA time (too many matches)- just because of not having enough viable back-ups and/ or maybe, it is in the water.

side note: Their recruiting has been terrible. Many of their starters are imo not top tier DI caliber wrestlers. No disrespect to the wrestlers- they are just over matched.

Moderator - I thought Marty was banned from the Board. If so, that should be enforced. Coming back in through Bob O'C in such a transparent fashion is both laughable and sad. But in all seriousness, he was banned for good reason and he should stay that way.
