5th - Ty Wilcox, Fountain Valley, CA, dec. Rick Springman, Norristown, PA, 15-12

7th - Kurt Bohaboj, Dodge, NE, won by TF over Nathan Coy, Oregon City, OR, 12-0

 

won both styles that season

154 lbs.

1st - David Kjeldgaard, Council Bluffs, IA, dec. Cory Posey, Westfield, N.J., 8-1

3rd - Cael Sanderson, Heber City, UT, pin Jeremy Campbell, New Berlin, WI, 2:35

These both help to prove just how much difference there can be between high school and college. Sanderson of course, but yet look at the other names on the list. Yes, Joe Heskett was extremely accomplished in college, but both Springman and Coy were more accomplished collegiate wrestlers than Wilcox ever was.
