Sam Stoll=The Best ever?

Recommended Posts

There are a lot of ways to define "best ever", but no arguing Stoll has set the national HS record for consecutive pins. Great pickup for Iowa. Next year, Stoll will most likely take a RS year, as Telford would be a sr.

With true fr Coon, and other HS class of '14 hwts Nevills and Haines (both ranked just above Stoll in Intermat rankings) there is some real firepower for underclassmen hwts in next few years.

Stoll is not a lock to start when Telford graduates. 2013 PA AAA heavy champ Aaron Bradley is stashed away on a Mormon mission. Bradley beat Brooks Black at Dapper Dan, and in 2012 gave Haines a real battle in the 220 state final before Haines hit a late throw for a major.

Iowa will certainly have the most 285 depth in the country when both those guys are in the room.

Heavyweight should be pretty exciting in the next few years.

Black

Bradley

Haines

Nevills

Stoll

Coon

Is there anyone else out there that is on the same level as these guys?

Coon is a very aggressive wrestler, and Haines is very athletic. Nevills is also aggressive and I think he will stay that way under Sanderson's coaching. The other three are all just so talented. I am sensing many great matches to come!

We'll see how long Cox stays at 197.

Depends on what the cutoff point is, for instance Gwiazdowski is just a sophomore and has more credentials than anyone on that list right now. I really like Amarveer Dhesi's potential and he is 25-7 as a true frosh this year despite being very raw when it comes to folk style, give him a redshirt year to work on things and get more comfortable with top and bottom and he could be right there.
