The year Burroughs came off his redshirt after he tore his knee up, the sportsbook I bet with that year had Burroughs at +250 against the field. Their basis apparently was previous year results, for which there were none since he'd been injured. Stupid guys over there.

I know of no bookmakers, legal or otherwise, who take action on conference tourneys. They do take limited action in Vegas for Nationals, but only on who will win a weight (and team champ). And they will not accept large wagers on the sport. Doubt you could get a bet in for greater than $2,500 unless you were a known player in the book (and maybe not even then).

 

If anyone knows of a place that accepts conference action legally, please post. If any exist, I suspect the odds will be materially different than what was posted in that link above. I also don't think you will see more than a couple wrestlers at each weight to select from. Some weights, not all, might contain a FIELD option (like 165).

I've always like the proposition bets. One year a sports book was offering who scores more points, Iowa schools or Pennsylvania schools? Wouldn't be much of a choice this year but back then it was a tossup.

I'm not sure if you could ever bet on the NCAA tournament in vegas but as of last year's tournament only Sportsbook.com was taking action and it was watered down from years past.
