Minnie needs to lose one of their two finals, and penn state needs to win both of their finals for penn state to win. If Minnie loses both, and PSU loses both and Oklahoma st win four, Oklahoma state wins.

One of those 4 finals wins will have to be by major. Clearly OSU is in the driver's seat :)

If all plays out as most predict (Ness lose, Taylor and Ruth win, Nelson win), PSU will win by 1.5 pts. This does not factor bonus. That med forfeit Retherford got is looming large.

If they stop it at 165, I'll gag.

Odds on favorite I think. That or 157 or 285.

Just imagine Taylor winning the team championship with his second title

You don't want to pit that kind of pressure on Taylor, he has not exactly been stellar under the bright lights. He has melted more than he has shined.

Not true. PSU wins both and Minny wins one. PSU wins by 1.5 - as long as there are no bonus pts in the finals.

My bad. Meant PSU needs 2 wins (only 1 with bonus, not both) and 1 loss by Minnesota.

But your math looks right. Only 2.5pt lead by Minnesota now.

wrong again. PSU does not need bonus if they win both and Minny wins 1 of 2:

points earned would be PSU +8; Minny +4. net difference would be PSU +4; PSU wins by 1.5

To be fair, Nick Dardanes got a med. forfeit over Richardson of ODU. It's far from certain Dardanes would have beat him, much less put up bonus points on him.
