Werwa 1 Report post Posted March 26, 2014 My best guess for Michigan: 125 - Conor Youtsey 133 - Rossi Bruno 141 - Steve Dutton (Zac Hall redshirt) 149 - Cam Jackson/Angelo Latora/Alec Pantaleo 157 - Brian Murphy 165 - Taylor Massa 174 - Garrett Sutton/Davonte Mahomes 184 - Domenic Abounader/Max Huntley 197 - Max Huntley/Domenic Abounader Hwt - Adam Coon They're solid at nearly every weight. 149 and 174 are a bit unknown. I suspect Huntley is going back to 197. What about Sean Boyle? He was a senior this year. I think he took a redshirt last year.
Brutus81 4 Report post Posted March 26, 2014 I have no insight into the Altons, but if weight cutting is part of the reason they're gassing (and that's a big if), it might be profitable to have them move up. In which case, you'd have: 125 - Megaludis 133 - Gulibon 141 - Retherford 149 - Beitz 157 - A. Alton 165 - D. Alton 174 - Brown 184 - Phipps/McCutcheon 197 - McIntosh 285 - Lawson/Gingrich The Altons are the kiss of death at this point -- just good enough to take a starting spot, but not disciplined or conditioned enough to make a mark in intercollegiate competition. Jaroslav Hasek 2,047 Report post Posted March 26, 2014 I'll take a shot at Rutgers. 125 - Josh Patrick/Sean McCabe 133 - Scott DelVecchio/Anthony Giraldo 141 - Anthony Ashnault/Tyson Dippery 149 - Ken Theobold/Tyler Hunt 157 - Anthony Perrotti/Vinny Corsaro 165 - Nick Visicaro/Nick Gravina 174 - Phillip Bakuckas/ Taylor Jackson 184 - Ethan Orr/Hayden Hrymack 197 - Andrew Campollatano/Hayden Hrymack 285 - Billy Smith/Wesley Bernard cool, thats pretty much what i was thinking. i have no inside info but i could maybe see some guys bumping up weights. you could red shirt all the freshman and Dippery and DelVecchio and still get this: 125 - McCabe 133 - Patrick 141 - Ashnault 149 - Hunt 157 - Theobold 165 - Perrotti 174 - Visicaro 184 - Bakuckas 197 - Campollatano 285 - Billy Smith there's also Pafumi who RS'ed at 165, and un-red shirted fr Stasenko wrestled 141, 149 & 157. but again, no clue if anyone actually will move up, just guessing at possibilities. everybody but Visicaro will be back after next year (presumably). lu_alum 920 Report post Posted March 27, 2014 If Riddick is truly going to 197, here's my projection: 125: A. Timchenko, So or S. Parker, Fr (D. Cruz RS) 133: Beckman, RS Jr 141: R. Cruz, RS So 149: one of the backup 141s from 2014 (Switzer, Longo, Carucci) or I. Brown, Fr/D. Milonas, Fr (although both will likely RS with L. Gardner) 157: Minotti, RS So 165: R. Preisch, Fr 174: B. Griffin, RS, So 184: N. Brown, RS Jr 197: E. Riddick, RS So 285: M. Wessel, RS Jr or D. Vollaro, RS So Amazing that this team will be looking at no Seniors in the starting lineup next year - and only three Juniors. I really wish E. Hess and A. Meys were healthy enough to fill roster spots at 165/174.

Badger Fan 27 Report post Posted March 31, 2014 Wisconsin Projected Lineup: 125 - Ryan Taylor RS Soph 133 - Jesse Thielke RS Soph 141 - Rylan Lubeck RS Soph / Andrew Crone RS Fr 149 - TJ Ruschell RS Soph / Andrew Crone RS Fr 157 - Isaac Jordan RS Soph 165 - Seth Liegel RS Fr / Ben Cox RS Sr / Jarod Donar Jr 174 - Jake Stilling RS Fr / Frank Cousins RS Sr / Dylan Izckowski RS Sr 184 - Ricky Robertson - RS Fr / Dylan Izckowski RS Sr 197 - Timmy McCall - RS Sr 285 - Connor Medbery - RS Jr 165 and 174 will have a series of Wrestleoffs most likely. Liegel and Stilling wrestled well in open tournaments. Robertson will be solid at 184. I am guessing Lubeck will go 141 and Thielke 133 - Lubeck wrestled 141 as a true Freshman and I think Thielke can easily make 133. Crone wrestled at both 141 and 149 this year and could be a surprise. Ruschell looked solid as a part time starter at 149, but will need to step up. Dr_Evil 0 Report post Posted March 31, 2014 Saw Lubeck wrestle 49 this year and he looked like a big 49. Hard to imagine he could go 41 just because he wrestled there as a true freshman.

They have big recruiting class this year but most of those guys go the FLWC route for a year. They have a big recruit from last year, Taylor that several people have projected at 97. Hope that helps

Stove_Pipe 15 Report post Posted April 3, 2014 ^^BUF87, You are correct. Villalonga eligibility-wise will be a senior this coming season because he got a med/waiver for his true frosh year of 2011. I have not seen any competition results for Nik Pena the past two seasons. As I recall, he was 11-10 for the 2012 campaign, including an 0-2 at Vegas down at 133, and then nothing at all for 2013 or for 2014.
