American Wrestler destroys Brazilian great and wins UFC ttle

Recommended Posts

TJ Dillashaw dismantled Renen Barao with relative ease. I'm one of the few who called it and frankly expected no less from the Cal State Fullerton stand out.

Anderson was dismantled by another American wrestler and lost his UFC title in the process.

Some are calling it the greatest upset in MMA history, because of the nature of the butt-whoopin. There have been fluke wins through out the sports short history, but this was a shocking dismantling. Do you give any credence to Dana White's statement that he hurt him early and he never recovered? The rematch should prove interesting.

Yes I do agree with that.

But I also see a tremendous improvement from Dillashaw and a great game plan of constant action, pressure, movement, speed, and agility. I don't know that the very best version of Barao is capable of beating TJ Dillashaw.

In the past couple of years:

Cain destroys Junior Dos Santos for Heavyweight title

Jon Jones thrashes Shogun for Light Heavyweight title

Chris Weidman knocks out and breaks Anderson Silva for middleweight title

Johnny Hendricks dominates GSP and downs Robbie Lawler for Welterweight title

TJ Dillashaw dismantles Renen Barao for Bantamweight title

Demetrius Johnson downs Joe Benavidez fro Flyweight title.

quite the run for American wrestlers and a huge edge over Brazil at the top of the food chain.

Hmmm, I hadn't made the direct correlation of all those fights. It seemed to me that wrestling was doing great, but I had no idea that we were dominating the 2nd most successful form of mma background. Thanks for the info.
