Ashnault over Tsirtsis

Recommended Posts

in a great 9-8 match. Ashnault gets the last TD with under 20 secs on the clock. Also for Rutgers Perrotti made the semis and just lost 12-4 to Caldwell but wrestled him tough. Took him down twice. His AA was no fluke he will be in the mix next year.

Tsirtsis just lost to former Harvard 141 lb AA Steven Keith. He's not exactly wrestling his best at this tournament.

Seemed to make it to the semis fine. Not saying it holds a ton of weight, but still nice win for Ashnault.

Jaja. I like how Rutgers has an entourage in the corner while caldwell has john smith there standing there all alone

Never seen Tsirtsis get scored on this much as he did in this tournament. Mayes, Ashnault and Keith all got to his legs pretty easy. He has always been great in freestyle so no excuses about style, he did not look like the same wrestler as he did at the end of the college season. Ashnault looked really good.

Glad to see tshirts get beat. He's the weakest NCAA champ in years.

What an absolutely idiotic statement. You resent this kid, and root against him because you perceive he was a "weak" NCAA champion?

Disagree with you there, Tsirtsis very consistent reminds me of Russell from Michigan, solid in all positions. Rarely has a bad tournament. He did have to go through a defending national champ, ranked #1 guy and two fifth year seniors to get to Kindig.
