Angry_Fish 313 Report post Posted May 30, 2014 Nat saying he would win the tourney, but he can hang with them. Already!
treep2000 1,124 Report post Posted May 30, 2014 The big question is whether he will be able to avenge his losses in Turkey.
Goopher97 0 Report post Posted May 30, 2014 I also wish Pico was wrestling in the seniors tourney. Win or lose. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
ronald 0 Report post Posted May 31, 2014 It has been clearly stated the plan for pico is to be ready by 2016. I don't know why people want to push him up so quickly. I personally like the idea of letting him grow into the sport and experience the world level at his age group until the push for 2016 comes along. It is not uncommon for a Fula junior world member to break out into the senior division in an Olympic year. We can watch him experience a high level of success at his age group until the big push comes around in two years.
Coach_J 2,177 Report post Posted May 31, 2014 I was impressed with Coon going both styles after winning Universities a week ago. Pretty full schedule with little recovery time.
JasonBryant 2,054 Report post Posted May 31, 2014 He's not 18 yet, so he can't wrestle Seniors.
Coach_J 2,177 Report post Posted May 31, 2014 Jason, can't we get him an Iranian birth certificate that says he's 17 one year and 22 the next?

Ryan 2 Report post Posted May 31, 2014 I haven't seen the 2 losses but combining that and two relatively close matches with Zain, I'm not so sure AP would be as competitive as some think. I could be wrong but he's got some real studs to go through.
armspin 257 Report post Posted May 31, 2014 He's not 18 yet, so he can't wrestle Seniors. IS this a FILA thing... stupid new rule. Asgarov recently won world silver at 17 (I think thats a for-real age too, not a made up one). Turkeys Yerlikaya won greco worlds at 17 a while back. Let them wrestle. Ryan 2 Report post Posted May 31, 2014 As difficult as this is to see for a big AP fan like myself, but this Russian kid had man strength and AP just isn't there yet. He'll get there soon. Doubt he's ever been cradled like this before. http://www.flowrestling.org/coverage/25 ... 4ox8vldV8E
armspin 257 Report post Posted May 31, 2014 That Russian kid just lost to the sr world champ 6-5 in Italy.

Hubbard 426 Report post Posted May 31, 2014 Spin, different guy. Nukhadiev lost to Safaryan today. Pico's loss was to another Russian.
ElChangodeAmor 12 Report post Posted May 31, 2014 Close matches with Zane? Were we watching the same matches or did you just look at the scores? Zane is zero threat and just tried to give himself a chance at the end. All he did was keep palming Pico's face and when he tried to go offense he paid for it. Pico is better coming off a loss then most i have seen. Look at how good he got after his last loss to an American. And its funny how DT gets craddled like that by BJ and everyone calls it getting caught but he wants to act like Pico got dominated. Cant wait for Jr worlds
2td3nf 582 Report post Posted May 31, 2014 Yes, Team USA has a great chance to make a huge splash at Jr. World's.
LongShot 13 Report post Posted June 1, 2014 Pico drummed that good Russian SR last year in NY, who gave Russell and Molinaro all they could handle. Let's let the kid breath a little. He's an amazing prospect.
