Wrestlers that went on to unexpected careers

Recommended Posts

Neil deGrasse Tyson, renowned astrophysicist, (I watched his cartoon character this morning with my kids on "Martha Speaks") wrestled for Harvard from 1977-80 or so. He was recruited to Cornell U, but by Dr. Carl Sagan, not coach Andy Noel.

Wow I did not know Neil deGrasse Tyson wrestled. I watch his specials on the science channel and listen to his lectures all the time. He really is one of (if not the most)the worlds most renowned astrophysicists. He is such an interesting person to listen to and learn from and I'm excited to hear that he wrestled for Harvard. If you have never heard him speak you should look him up on YouTube or the science channel.

Edit: typo

Don't forget a Lehigh wrestler named Kilrain (I anot sure of the first name). He is now or was the head of the entire US Seals operations in Europe and made top rank.

Admiral Colin Kilrain

Yep. Also, Kilrain's wife was an astronaut who's flown 2 space flights and his great-great grandfather was bareknuckles heavyweight champion boxer Jake Kilrain who fought (and lost to) John L Sullivan.

Dang, now my story about my summers driving a forklift at a lumberyard don't seem so cool anymore.

Chief Justice of the US Supreme Court John Roberts

Wasn't aware of this. Did he suffer alot of head trauma? Just wondering based on recent events?lol

Yeah, made the wrong decision on the law in the recent socialist medicine care decision. Goofy trying to make a legacy on such a flimsy interpretation of the law. Sell out isn't usually wrestler like.

Oh boy, here we go.

I might as well get my swipe in. Since you guys are already subsidizing the uninsured. But there is always hope you can turn it around and keep your $5k (and growing) annual deductible on top of the $8k (and growing) family plan. You are paying at least $13k outta your pocket before you have access to 'quality' healthcare that is paid by the insurance fatcats. Big business private insurance is an abject human failure.
