Taylor - Hess: Taylor TECH 20-4 @ 5:54 PSU 19-3

Brown - Brown: Matt Brown MAJOR 12-2 (3 stalling points) 23-3 PSU

Ruth - Hamlin: Ruth 11-9 26-3 PSU

Wright - Bolich: Wright 10-4 29-3 PSU

Gingrich - Delia: Delia 5-3 29-6 PENN STATE

NOTES:

Gingrich is painful to watch.

Ruth was rolling through Hamlin 6-2. Gave up an escape at the end of 1 to make it 6-3. Hamlin scored 2 off of a Ruth super duck attempt and Ruth wasn't the same after that. From there Hamlin directed the pace. It still wasn't as close as the score but with all due respect to Hamlin, who is a very good wrestler, from my perspective Ruth let this one slip away from what could/should have been a bonus point win. Then again, Hamlin is ranked #3 for a reason.

Megaludis opened up his offense.

Pearsall took one away from Salupo

Wright kind of wasted the 1st period (0-0) and then rushed at the end to try and secure a major but wasn't able to get the last TD

No idea why Gingrich wrestled here (Byers said Lawson will wrestle at WVU). Pretty sure Lawson beat Delia for at least one of his NJ State championships, if not 2 of them (Delia was 2nd at heavy twice in NJ)

Dylan had better get his conditioning up. I said this many times last year. Floats with danger to much at crunch time.

Napoli was better. Looked much bigger too.

Napoli has always been a leach on top. Now that he's improved greatly on his feet he is going to be really hard to beat.

I felt like Ruth was still the aggressor for the next couple takedown attempts as well. Hamlin seemed to be winning the scrambles at this point. Then both guys seemed to be tired and Ruth seemed content to just defend.
