Virginia Duals

Any results catch your eye?

I was surprised by the Arizona State win over Kent State and West Virginia over Chattanooga. Both those new staffs look like they are making an impact.

Also, Schopp didn't wrestling in Edinboro's first match. Will he compete at all this weekend?

Great win for the true frosh against a tough RS Senior (formerly at Michigan) who got 3rd at the Scuffle.

AJ Schopp noticeably absent from Boro's lineup. Those who were saying he bowed out of the Scuffle after losing for no reason were obviously wrong. I hope the injury is not serious and we get to see him in action again soon.

wrestlingnerd, AJ Schopp wasn't at the Scuffle, he was at Midlands. That said, per the Edinboro press notes, he is out indefinitely, which could mean anywhere from him being back for next Sunday's dual against Kent State, to him being out for the season. No idea what the issue is.

It was a typo. I got the wrong tournament but my point is the same. Some folks were suggesting he bowed out of the tournament with nothing hurt but his ego. I didn't understand that since he wrestled the match after his loss before defaulting out of the tournament.
