jeffr_ideal 216 Report post Posted February 13, 2015 Super stoked about this match. After Miller's loss last week, I am thinking IMar takes this one. Does anyone know if this match is going to be streamed? BTN2GO is not showing it and I do not see it being advertised on Flo. 1 jstock reacted to this
drivenwrestling 4 Report post Posted February 13, 2015 Yeah, this could be a high flying match. Both of these guys can put up some serious points and can pin you in a heartbeat. Now that I said that it'll probably be a 3-2 dec.
silver-medal 670 Report post Posted February 13, 2015 Martinez has the bigger gas tank. I'm a big Miller fan but expect him to wilt based upon the way he tired in his upset loss against N. Iowa. Miller has missed a lot of time this year with injuries and may not yet be in full shape.
wrestlingnerd 2,996 Report post Posted February 13, 2015 I never thought I'd pick Martinez over Miller, but I agree. I think Martinez takes this one based on his tank. Also, I was surprised Martinez could ride Green, so I think he has an important edge on the mat against Miller who is relatively weak there, especially when not in shape. You have to give credit to the Illinois staff. They've done a phenomenal job with Martinez. He has really improved since going to Illinois.

jeffr_ideal 216 Report post Posted February 13, 2015 Could Martinez go undefeated this year and be on pace to match Sanderson?
VQLSWAIN 2 Report post Posted February 13, 2015 Could Martinez go undefeated this year and be on pace to match Sanderson? Sure, why not? I would say it isn't likely, but it certainly isn't impossible.
2td3nf 582 Report post Posted February 14, 2015 Should be a great match. Really enjoyed IMart's interview on FLO. I thought the kid was so well spoken.

RSabich 9 Report post Posted February 14, 2015 Miller without the injury this year would be favored. Has a great gas tank when healthy. One thing is certain: he won't take those bush shoves by IMar, who I think will win this one by 4.
2td3nf 582 Report post Posted February 15, 2015 (edited) Well, just saw the Chris Perry interview, and might as well post this here. Fascinating info about Martinez vs Valencia at Jr World Trials. Also thought Coach Perry was right on the money talking about certain wrestlers putting on a show and growing the sport in general. Excellent interview. VakAttack 3,966 Report post Posted February 15, 2015 He tried a lat drop because he was losing and he never really came close to scoring. It happened with under a minute to go in the 3rd.

jstock 125 Report post Posted February 15, 2015 I see IMar was winning at the time of the fall but what was the score?
LkwdSteve 142 Report post Posted February 15, 2015 The last score I saw on track was a conservative 3-1 IMar, partway through the third
ionel 2,431 Report post Posted February 15, 2015 The last score I saw on track was a conservative 3-1 IMar, partway through the third 3-1 with ~1:15rt going into 3rd, so 8-1 ( 3 earned but not yet given on board) at time of fall. Would've been 9-1without pin. Miller could've tied it with td & ride out.
jeffr_ideal 216 Report post Posted February 15, 2015 (edited) I did not see the match, but my brother was giving me play-by-play and he said both guys looked really good and Miller was the aggressor offensively. Apparently he hit IMar with an inside trip, and my bro was amazed Imar defended. I think IMar can win the whole thing and give Ness fits. Mark Perry is doing a great job with him. Miller is a go big or go home kind of guy. I would love to see him wrestle like he did against BoJo at University Nationals.
