The key for Missouri is for Synon and Telford to avoid large bonus points.  141, 149, 157, 174 and 184 could go either way.  England has been wrestling well this weekend and could pull the upset against Moore.  This will definitely be a great dual!!!

I hope the wrestling is better than your math.

Pretty gratuitous picks. We will have to see if they all fall that way.

Up until this point I saw 157 and 184 as swing matches slightly in Mizzou's favor. But after Lavallee and Miklus' performances today compared to Kelly and Brooks', I have to give Iowa the edge.

125: waters Dec gilman. A match up of stingy wrestlers, going to go with experience. 3 to 0 mizzou

133: Clark major synon. Will be a beating. 4 to 3 iowa

141: Mayes Dec jeva. Mayes better on his feet, should know to stay there. Jeva has never impressed me. 7 to 4 mizzou

149: houdashelt Dec sorenson. Match of the dual, could easily go the other way. Picking experience again over the freshman but both are studs. 10 to 4 mizzou

157: lavalee dec. Kelly. Another one that could go either way, these two are very close. 13 to 4 mizzou

165: Moore dec. England. Neither one has impressed much this season but Moore has his shining moments. 13 to 7 mizzou

174: the stache Dec eblen. not much scoring but Evans should win it. 13 to 10 mizzou

184: miklus Dec. Brooks. I just like the way miklus wrestles more than brooks. Can certainly go either way. 16 to 10 mizzou

197: cox Dec burak. Burak has no offense and won't be able to ride cox. It will be close but controlled. 19 to 10 mizzou

285: telford Dec mellon. Boring heavyweight match with little action. 19 to 13 mizzou

I tried making my picks without thinking of the team aspect. I have a feeling this score will be closer than my picks ended up as there are a lot (6?) Of swing matches.

I'm especially looking forward to the match between Eblen and Evans.  Like you, I think Eblin wins and that will be the key to a Mizzou win for the dual.

The thing that I like best about this National Duals Meeting:

UNDEFEATED Missouri vs UNDEFEATED Iowa

I have never liked the idea of a team being able to finish the season undefeated without winning being national champions. While it is still possible that one of these teams finishes undefeated and then fails to win the national title, I like the fact that they are meeting. It would be a shame if they weren't meeting.

It was really disappointing, for me, to have Northern Iowa finish the season undefeated last year. It was such a shame Iowa stopped scheduling them. I would have loved to see Northern Iowa go toe to toe with some of the teams ranked a head of them.

It is hard to explain to people the importance of an undefeated dual season and how it doesn't have any impact on your post season because the standard by which a team is judged is changed.

Not the same.  UNI didn't wrestle a single top 10 team last season, and finished 15th at nationals.

I think Mizzou matches up poorly with Iowa and foresee a rout at home.

Nice of you to give Iowa all of the swing matches...
