stp 543 Report post Posted March 5, 2015 (edited) Emelios is a distant drive from St John arena, in a questionable area of Columbus. Go to Tommy's on Lane Ave in Upper Arlington. Only a couple miles away, right up from St John arena. Look for this sign- (shameless plug) Also to note Emelios is home to Mike Disabato. http://www.bloodyelbow.com/2013/7/20/4540660/ufc-star-roy-nelson-cage-fighter-mike-disabato-sponsor-apparel-beef http://www.sherdog.com/news/articles/Henderson-Sues-MMA-Authentics-14375 http://www.mixedmartialarts.com/news/245986/Liddell-sues-MMA-clothing-company Edited March 6, 2015 by stp
Buckeyebison 87 Report post Posted March 5, 2015 At least, Disabato family is deep in wrestling. Up to you. There are several good local restaurants near the arena. Eddie George 27 Grill owned by the Heisman Trophy Eddie George is good one. Saw the entire Minnesota wrestling team dined there after national duals last year. I guess they are satisfied with it. BigRedMachine 210 Report post Posted March 6, 2015 so, it stinks? What he means is it's not the type of thing you'd ever eat on a daily basis, but after one too many beers one night you figured 'what the hell' and found out it doesn't actually taste half bad. silver-medal 670 Report post Posted March 6, 2015 Columbus pizza is thin with little crust. Pretty good IMO. Personally, I love Chi-town style but have to be in Chitown to have it. Rubino's in Bexley is a well known spot. Get the pepperoni.
Ohio_Ice 6 Report post Posted March 6, 2015 the Ohiowrestling.net group is meeting here Saturday night. Yabo's Tacos 3051 Northwest Boulevard, Upper Arlington, OH 43221 VERY easy to get to from St. John Arena... Go west on WEST Lane Ave. Go NORTH on NORTHwest BLVD. They are about 3 miles apart. So this is what we should have in place for specials: Food: Buy 3 tacos get 4th free. This will include all regular tacos and specialty taco(s). If there is a difference in price, free taco will be the lowest priced taco. Beer: Domestic bottle buckets - 5 for $10 24oz Labatt Blue or Labatt Blue Light tall boys $3.50 Retro Beer - not sure which beer will be on tap but something like PBR, Coors Original, Miller High Life, Keystone, etc... $2.00 pints. If you want the taco deal, make sure you ask for it if you do not see it or get told about it. I have only briefly discussed it with our manager over the phone so I am not sure how it is going to be presented.
Old_Marine_Wrestler 245 Report post Posted March 6, 2015 Can't go wrong with Buca di Beppo for great Italian food! I believe the one in Columbus is either on N Front or N High St.
squeek 67 Report post Posted March 6, 2015 I have had the displeasure of eating at Emilio's a few times. I have never chosen this place on my own and never would. Always been someone elses idea as part of a group thing. My opinion....the place is a dump! 1 stp reacted to this
