pamela 1,334 Report post Posted December 12, 2012 Dunno if this is a fair comparison, but DT held his own more than once against Steve Fittery, who many thought would outmuscle and control him. GitG should be fun! Going in, I guess TC has a lot to prove but nothing to lose, which seems like a good place to be mentally.
Flying-Tiger 617 Report post Posted December 17, 2012 Rodney, you are making the same mistake a lot of others are making by putting Caldwell in the same class as Dake. He does not have the same speed or defense as KD. Caldwell is talented, no doubt about it, but I actually think DT is the one that presents the matchup problems. Scuffle can't get here soon enough, should be a great event. I do think he is in the same class as Dake. I'm with you, I can not wait for the Scuffle. Hopefully I am proven wrong. Ok Rodney, feeling better about the matchup now or still concerned?

nom 1,193 Report post Posted December 18, 2012 FT, what are you talking about? Are you saying Lear beat Caldwell? When? I didn't see Caldwell lose yesterday in his first match although he was taken down. Was there another dual?
Flying-Tiger 617 Report post Posted December 18, 2012 It happened tonight. There is a thread about it here on the first page.
nom 1,193 Report post Posted December 18, 2012 Ahh, didn't realize they were wrestling. I thought Bucknell and OK state wrestled yesterday but no, it was Chattanoga. I think the Chatanooga (sp?) kid took down Caldwell during the match.

I think the Chatanooga (sp?) kid took down Caldwell during the match. that was condon at chattanooga he was a top prospect winning ironman and 2nd at powerade but he is really a 157 imho just too small for 165. i am sure the staff would rather have him at 157 where he would win the conference and score points at nationals

madcat11 436 Report post Posted December 18, 2012 Lear dec Caldwell 4-3 Ok, how about now :) After watching that match it's hard to imagine Taylor not scoring a couple TDs. Does anyone think that Caldwell can ride Taylor?
headache 149 Report post Posted December 18, 2012 Speaking of Dake vs Taylor I recently ran across what I think is the best video of their All-Star event announced by Wade Schalles and another guy I didn't catch the name ... Sounds like Wade and Nate Carr. It was. I enjoyed these two. Wade kept saying that his "garbage" style wrestling is now mainstream -- funny. Of course, Nate is agreat guy. rodneydeeeee 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2013 Ok Rodney, how about now. :D FT, I refreshed a few times today just WAITING for you to bump this. LOL! I must say, while texting my brother all throughout the match, I am pumped!
Flying-Tiger 617 Report post Posted January 2, 2013 Yea, DT looked awesome. Dake will be a much tougher nut to crack, but there is hope.
skikayaker 93 Report post Posted January 2, 2013 But based on everything, I think Caldwell beats Taylor right now. Caldwell has a rare blend of strength and technique and has no weaknesses. I think DT struggles with Caldwell right now... I think the ceiling is brighter but DT, but with toughening up and fine tuning... Aghh, I may regret this thread. "I think" may be where you were struggling with this one. BTW, any regrets for this thread yet?
