headshuck 2,193 Report post Posted March 22, 2015 Green>Miller>Realbuto What's the game we're playing? I think Ness is 5-2 vs that group. Round robin?
Waxpacks 0 Report post Posted March 22, 2015 FWIW, there is an article out there where the Kent State coach explicitly states he questioned the officials about the score and, according to him, he was told to pipe down. He did not use that exact phrase but I don't wish to misquote him; his point was that he told them the score might be wrong, but they did not want to hear it. Very poorly handled by the scoring officials and the NCAA.

Regulator 19 Report post Posted March 22, 2015 Headshuck not sure what you are saying with 5-2. This year Ness would be 2-1 to that group I believe. All time? No, loss to Green a couple times last year, loss to Miller at Scuffle and Realbuto this year.

silver-medal 670 Report post Posted March 23, 2015 Does anyone think that if the reverse had happened, Rob Koll would not have known the score and insisted on a challenge? It's a shame that a mistake took place but it happens in all sports. You have to be ready to advocate for your guy when it does. Andrassy wasn't sure if there was an error. He needed to be. Sad moment all around.

Yellow_Medal 189 Report post Posted March 23, 2015 Happens in NFL. Missed call by ref, no challenge, game resumes with blown call. Little different but if Realbuto knew he was down by 1 does it change his strategy? If yes, than its not as simple as Miller won. Because the direction of the match had changed. My view, Realbuto broke Miller and was winning that match no matter if he was tied or down by 1 at that point. Can see the outrage but only a few people are acknowledging this angle. Exactly. The un-awarded point affected both wrestlers
LongShot 13 Report post Posted March 23, 2015 ^^Div I cannot even keep proper score at NCAA tournament!! Blame Kent State wrestling??? Well Kent St might not be to blame but they didn't exactly do a great job of keeping score either.
