MSU158 2,012 Report post Posted March 26, 2015 I admittedly forgot the final loss to Clagon. Still, your tone, by using multiple instead of "2" losses implied he lost enough times to warrant a "lower" seed. In actuality, he was seeded 3rd(not a low seed) and wasn't going to be seeded any higher because he had the head to head loss to Tsirtsis. There was NO WAY the committee would put him over Tsirtsis as Head to Head is the biggest criteria when records are virtually the same.
BigRedMachine 210 Report post Posted March 26, 2015 Superold, You have often stated Tsirtsis has some of the best technique of all NCAA wrestlers. If you don't remember, here's a refresher: You've also stated this year that you felt Tsirtsis should be the odds on favorite for the 149 title. Given that you feel winning in March is what its all about, What factors do you believe led to Tim Flynn's Edinboro Fighting Scot David Habat's victory over Tsirtsis? oldsuper 46 Report post Posted March 26, 2015 Tsirtsis got taken down and couldn't get a takedown of his own. If I remember correctly, he also failed to get riding time in the matchup like he so often does.
BigRedMachine 210 Report post Posted March 26, 2015 Tsirtsis got taken down and couldn't get a takedown of his own. If I remember correctly, he also failed to get riding time in the matchup like he so often does. This is what literally happened, yes. Anyone who watched the match could have told me this. What I'm interested in is your analysis of the match. Why was Flynn's wrestler able to take down the master technician and prevent Tsirtsis from returning the favor. Was it coaching, heart, technique, was Tsirtsis not well enough to win this match? I want your expert insight into why this upset occurred.

That's factual.
oldsuper 46 Report post Posted March 26, 2015 BigRedMachine, Tsirtsis is not a master technician. Tsirtsis was well enough to win the match, but he didn't execute when he had the opportunity to. Tsirtsis displayed poor technique during key moments of the match. So did the Edinboro wrestler, but he made fewer mistakes and won the match.
