Logans Claw and Wrist tilt

Recommended Posts

Logan is incredibly strong but the reason why that move works is because of technique more than strength.

One observation I've made is he has about half a dozen "go-to" variations each on his arm bar series and half/claw series, and he chains them all together seamlessly. So his opponents have to simultaneously defend bars, a half, and the claw tilts--very hard to do. With a dozen ways to turn you to either side and a relentless attitude of chaining the moves together, he's going to turn you one way or another the vast majority of the time.

Pressure forward, traps wrist, sucks it in, deep claw, drives towards head with claw and hops over the trapped wrist, idk thats what it seems like to me. Obviously theres more to it but watching it as it happens thats the only explanation. Can you find it w/o paying Flo?

Long story short, once he straitens out the arm by manipulating the wrist there is a ton of pressure from the humeral head on the opponent's rotator cuff.  Amazing that he can attack the shoulder so effectively by grabbing the wrist (he also uses his knee to push on the elbow)

Occasionally, he throws a leg in too.....he's unbelievable on top.
