I am a college wrestler and I find it surprising that the best way for us to let the official know the period is over is throwing a towel out on the mat or tapping him on the back with it. I see officials make incorrect calls because of this. Do you think it would be a good idea to have a wristband that vibrates at the end of each period to help them make better calls.

Somewhere in there is an inappropriate joke that I am not going go near. Back to the discussion, how does TrackWrestling use them?

Fairly sure they used them after a while at DIs. I thought I noticed a lack of tappers later.

The assistant officials were wearing some type of wristband at the D-1's.  I kept watching the new assistant put it on when they got on the mat but I wasn't sure what it was for and forgot to ask.  Makes a little more sense now after JB said track uses a device like that.

Just noticed this thread.
Wrestler 125 has exactly 1 post and this is the subject he chose to register for?
Someone's trying to push those wristbands.

These are in use at all the College National Championships. You can either wear them around your ankle, put them in your pocket or wear them on your wrist. They are primarily used for finals matches.
