supyall46 7 Report post Posted June 14, 2015 Metcalf! İ missed the end however. How did Oliver get 4? Oliver was driving Metcalf towards the edge and Metcalf was too stubborn to just give up 1, so he attempted a failed chest lock throw and gave up four by going to his back

wrestlingphish 1,029 Report post Posted June 14, 2015 did Metcalf initiate that TD+NF prior to the shot clock expiring? He had one second left on the clock when he secured the first ankle.

PRyan2012 347 Report post Posted June 14, 2015 The better wrestlers have won all three. Not always. The odds of winning if you have a bye are close to guaranteed. Someone winning coming through the mini-tourney happen once every two years. So every 14 finals someone does it. It is a huge advantage.
nom 1,193 Report post Posted June 14, 2015 Oliver totally fails at the 'acting' game. Two handed shoves, wrestling on knees. Idiot. Could have had Metcalf on the shot clock in the 2nd and totally screwed himself. 1 wrestlingphish reacted to this

BigTimeFan 1,141 Report post Posted June 14, 2015 I think this thread turned from grumpy to sarcastic-grumpy (is that sardonic?) How about this? Just like the Apollo missions, the whole thing is faked.
greco_gilligan 62 Report post Posted June 14, 2015 (edited) I'm not grumpy. I'm pissed off because Dake was robbed. And he was a man about it. Shook his head and moved on. Meanwhile I'm here bitching about it. How was Dake robbed? JB initiated the move. He remained parallel to the mat while Dake exposed his back. So there's a good case that he's actually just better.
MadMardigain 1,605 Report post Posted June 14, 2015 Valencia really didn't show well. Not only did he lose by TF to Caldwell but he lost by 9 to Howe.To Valencia's credit he was up 6-0 on Howe near the end of the first, and looking good. But then Howe threw it in another gear and unloaded on him.

BigTimeFan 1,141 Report post Posted June 14, 2015 How was Dake robbed? JB initiated the move. He remained parallel to the mat while Dake exposed his back. It didn't look like JB was remotely in control. I'm obviously not right because I don't think the refs are corrupt.
supyall46 7 Report post Posted June 14, 2015 (edited) How was Dake robbed? JB initiated the move. He remained parallel to the mat while Dake exposed his back. Dake stopped Burrough's action with double underhooks, redirected his motion and initiated his own move - his throw attempt. The move that scored Burroughs 4 sure didnt' look like Burroughs's action to me.. Edited June 14, 2015 by supyall46
pamela 1,334 Report post Posted June 14, 2015 Ok, so we've gone through the first set of matches and NBC hasn't even started broadcasting, is that about right? Love this sport. NBC Sports needs to get with it. The delayed broadcast start makes no sense, and it threw me off as well.
